46 Day Challenge

Challenge is based on minutes of exercise logged and number of miles completed
Stay motivated this holiday season and keep yourself MOVING all the way to 2023. The unique challenge will feature both a time based leaderboard and a distance based leaderboard. You'll get credit for every minute of exercise logged and every mile of exercise you move.
Your entry gives you access to ALL of the challenges! Participate in one or participate in all the challenges:
The Time Challenge:
ROCK THE CLOCK - Log your minutes for ANY cardio exercise you complete. The more minutes you exercise the higher you go on the leaderboard. Minutes count for activities like walking, biking, yoga, weights, treadmill, kayaking, rollerblading, stair-master, swimming, elliptical, rowing, etc.
The Distance Challenges:
WALK/RUN - Log your miles for walking, jogging, hiking, treadmill, running
BIKE - Log your miles for cycling, mtn. biking, spinning, recumbent bike, unicycle
ROW/PADDLE - Log your miles for rowing, kayaking, stand up paddling, canoeing
SWIM - Log your miles for swimming
The BEST way to complete your challenge is to stay consistent and log exercise EVERY day.

Create your Sodisp account. Instructions will be emailed to you on how to create a free Sodisp account. All logging and tracking will be done on Sodisp

Start logging your minutes on November 1st! Consistency wins the game!!! We recommend logging minutes EVERY day.

CHALLENGE RULES
What type of minutes count toward exercising?
Minutes count that are only done specifically with the intention of exercising. For example:
- Do count minutes completed when exercising
- Do count minutes logged for walking to do errands INSTEAD of driving
- Do count minutes completed walking your dog or your neighbor's dog
- Do count minutes riding your bike to work INSTEAD of driving
Minutes of exercise that are done during your daily living or work routine DO NOT count.
- DO NOT count minutes walking around the office or inside your house doing your daily routine
- DO NOT count minutes shopping or gardening
- DO NOT count minutes watching TV
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
I already signed up, but I didn’t affiliate my entry to a group or club. Can I still create or join a group, club?
Yes! To create a group, club or team, go to the Race Roster registration page or click here on “Create a Team.” It will open up the create a team webpage. From the Team Type dropdown, select the “Individual - Group, club or Team.” Enter in a team name. Once you’ve created a group, club or team, go to your "Athlete Dashboard" on Race Roster (sign in) and look for the "Join A Team” button.
I want to register and associate my entry to the group that my friend created. How do I do that?
During the registration process it will ask if you want to join a group or club. Click on the “Add myself to a group" and from the dropdown menu find the name of the team you want to join.
How do we log our minutes & miles?
The best way and the most accurate way to log your exercise is using a GPS enable watch or app on your phone to record your time and distance. You can also record your time and distance manually and then make a manual entry on your Sodisp participant dashboard. Detailed instructions for joining the event will be emailed to all participants. As the minutes and miles get logged, the website will be updated and you’ll be able to see your accumulated progress.
Will we be able to sync our Garmin, Strava, Fitbit or other GPS device?
Yes! you can easily sync your Garmin, Strava, Fitbit and other Apps to your Sodisp profile. Detailed instructions for how to connect your apps and devices are on the Sodisp FAQ.
Can we start logging minutes before November 15th?
No, the virtual challenge will start on November 15th. You can log miles anytime between 11/15 at 12:00am to 12/31/22 at 11:59 pm.
What type of minutes count towards my total?
Only minutes that are completed with the intent of exercising will count.
I wear a Fitbit all day long and it records the miles I do when I’m walking around the office and at home. Do these count?
No, minutes and miles accumulated during your daily routine or work routine do not count. [Example: walking from the couch to the kitchen to the couch to the bathroom to the couch to bed, do NOT count]
I also like to bike, can I do half my miles biking and half running?
Yes, you're bike minutes and all exercise minutes count. Bike minutes and distance will count toward the ROCK THE CLOCK and BIKE challenge. Your entry includes participation in the time based ROCK THE CLOCK Challenge and the WALK/RUN Challenge, BIKE Challenge and ROW/PADDLE Challenge & SWIM Challenge.
I just signed up, will we be getting an update with additional details?
Yes, we will be emailing out an Athlete Update the week of the event. The update will also be posted on our website and the Mermaid Athlete Facebook page.
