RIDE GUIDELINES
  • The Tour de Mermaid is a "for fun" Gran Fondo style ride. This is NOT a race. Awards are not issued to the fastest riders. The goal is to have fun, laugh, ride with friends and celebrate as you roll across the finish line.

  • Riders are required to obey all traffic laws, i.e. stoping at red lights and stop signs. The routes are very popular amongst cyclists and police officers frequently patrol the roads to enforce the traffic laws. The Mermaid Series is not responsible for any citiations or tickets you receive.

  • When riding on the Mill Valley-Sausalito Bike Path and the Tiburon Linear Path, Mermaids MUST ride single file and obey the posted bicycle speed limit.  The speed limit is 10mph. Park Rangers can and will issue citations for participants NOT following the rules.

  • A timing clock will be at the Start / Finish for participants to track the time it takes them to complete the course.
